AMSA’s mission of supporting premedical students, medical students, and physicians has really stood out to me because it creates a strong sense of community across every stage of medicine. I was inspired to join because I value its focus on advocacy, mentorship, and service, and I wanted to be part of an organization that empowers students to grow as future physicians while making a meaningful impact on others.

This past year, serving as our chapter president, I found a lot of meaning in helping bring people together around shared goals and creating opportunities for others to get involved. Through that experience, I realized that I wanted to make an impact beyond just my local chapter and contribute on a broader scale. Serving as the Vice President for Membership-Elect felt like a natural next step because it would allow me to support students across different communities, advocate for issues that matter in medicine, and help strengthen the mission of ÃÛÑ¿appat a national level.
