  • ÃÛÑ¿appCommunity Building: Connection, Community & Care

    Dear Friends,

Spending time surrounded by one another is one of our most cherished things to do. On the last Sunday of each month at 5:00 PM ET, we continue to hold our Community Building Hour, a space for reflection, grounding, and solidarity. Here, we purposely arrive without an agenda-but with the intention of sharing space, expressing our experiences for the time we are living in as medical students and simply, as human beings- and fostering a family of compassionate peers that you can lean upon. You can register here for this month’s gathering!

  • AMSA's Advocacy & Action Open Office Hour & ACT Support

  • National Primary Care Week (NPCW)

    AMSA's 26th National Primary Care Week | October 5–10, 2026

For more than a quarter century, ÃÛÑ¿apphas celebrated National Primary Care Week as a call to imagine-and build-a more expansive future through primary care. Rooted in our history of student advocacy and our belief that health begins in communities, this week is about more than recognizing a specialty. It is about inspiring the next generation of physicians to discover the countless ways primary care can transform lives, strengthen communities, and shape the future of medicine.

This National Primary Care Week, we are also celebrating the people behind the profession. Through a special series of discussions, we are highlighting the diverse journeys, perspectives, and lived experiences of primary care physicians and community workers whose passions reflect the very heart of the field: relationships, advocacy, prevention, community, and whole-person care.

Whether you have always envisioned yourself in primary care or are simply curious about where this path might lead, we invite you to spend the week with us. Explore the many possibilities within the specialty, hear from physicians who are redefining what it means to care for communities, and discover why primary care remains one of the most dynamic, impactful, and inspiring careers in medicine.
